Enhanced Diamonds Value

When it comes to buying diamonds, it is true that no two are mined equally. Even the very best diamonds in the world differ from one another in certain aspects. As well, when a diamond is mined and brought into the market for resale, there is never a diamond that is introduced without imperfections. These imperfections in a diamond are referred to as inclusions. Generally speaking, the more inclusions that a diamond has, the lower its value. But while no two diamonds are created equally, no two inclusions are as well. The amount of quality of the inclusions in a diamond will all play a role in determining the overall value of a diamond. Today, inclusions on diamonds can be worked on to create a finished product that looks much better than it was before. This is called a clarity enhancement process, and has been used since the 1980’s with the sole purpose being to improve the diamond’s quality and has the ability to sparkle from across the room. When this process first began being used, clarity enhanced diamonds were purchased by consumers on a budget. Now the process has in itself been enhanced and advanced such that the enhancement process is better than it ever has been before. In today’s economy there is an all new awareness to this product that views the enhanced diamond as an equal player on the field and is a choice being made by many consumer savvy diamond buyers. What happens with clarity enhanced diamonds is that they are worked on with a feather filling process, where the small inclusions that are visible to the naked eye, are filled in so that the average consumer can no longer see them. Consider them the Botox of diamond treatment. Where women use Botox filler to erase the imperfections on their faces, diamond experts use feather filler to do just the same thing, so those imperfections are no longer visible and the end result is a diamond that looks inclusion and imperfection free.

Does this compromise the value of the diamond? This is the most common question when it comes to a diamond that has been clarity enhanced. The short answer is no. When you purchase a diamond for an engagement ring, or for any piece of jewelry for that matter, the clarity of the diamond will be a single determining factor in the diamond cost. But it is always the clarity of the original diamond that plays this role, not the clarity of the final product. So with a clarity enhanced diamond, you have a diamond that is a natural diamond mined right from the earth, but with a few imperfections. This diamond has enough imperfections that are visible to the naked eye, and could be rated somewhere in the I1 or I2 range of clarity. When it undergoes our extensive and individualized clarity enhancement process, it will be treated to virtually eliminate those imperfections, so that the diamond actually winds up looking like a diamond in the higher range of clarity such as SI. What have you paid for? An I2 diamond that looks like it is worth much more than that. Thus, at face value, depending on the size of course, the diamond looks like it could be worth six or seven thousand dollars, but in reality you have paid for the I2 diamond and not paid anywhere near that cost, essentially saving several thousand dollars on a brilliant and beautiful stone. In addition to having a huge selection of diamonds just like this, we offer you a lifetime treatment guarantee on your clarity enhanced process to ensure that your diamond retains its value and stays beautiful and brilliant for the rest of your life. If for any reason at all in the unlikely event occurs where your diamond has lost its enhancement, we will re-treat it at no cost to you and with no questions asked.
